Behind Closed Eyes is a 16-foot hollow sculpture that invites a moment of quiet, play, and reflection. It is carved by hand from reclaimed materials and built as a space people can enter, experience, and share.
The project is rooted in craftsmanship, reuse, and the belief that public art can create space for connection.

The sculpture is created by Spencer Hansen with his longtime team of Indonesian artists and collaborators. The work combines traditional hand-carving techniques with large-scale fabrication and years of shared experience.
